Senate defeats Bernie’s bid to block Israel weapons sales

The Senate overwhelmingly rejected two resolutions from Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) that would have blocked U.S. weapons sales to Israel. One vote failed 15-83, and the other failed 15-82. All 15 “yes” votes were Democrats.
