Senate Dems seek immigration solution outside of reconciliation

Sen. Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.) spearheaded a group of a dozen Senate Democrats who are asking Senate Majority Leader John Thune to leave immigration and border security out of any reconciliation process so there can be a bipartisan deal on the issue.

The group of 13 Democrats say they are willing to work with Republicans to ”improve border security, protect Dreamers and farmworkers and fix our immigration system.”
