Let's start with Trump: This should be obvious to anyone reading this, but Johnson’s future is tied to former President Donald Trump. If Trump wins the presidency, most Republicans think they’ll keep the House. And Johnson will have to stand for reelection as speaker on the House floor at the start of the 119th Congress.
