Bill Cassidy unveils trade facilitation framework

Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-La.) is out with a new framework for potential updates to customs laws with the goal of streamlining import-export steps for international trade.

It’s the latest step in bipartisan efforts to address trade facilitation at U.S. borders. Cassidy partnered with Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) on the latest draft proposal. Read the framework here.
