The Senate just passed a $180 billion FY2026 funding package, and now all attention will turn to the four spending bills appropriators are set to release this weekend. The vote was 82-15.
With the Senate’s approval of this latest minibus – Commerce-Justice-Science, Interior and Environment, and Energy and Water – Congress only has a few remaining bills left to get over the finish line before the Jan. 30 funding deadline. All but one of those bills is on track for passage.
