Scoop: Two dozen House Democrats told key committee leaders on Thursday they had “serious” concerns about the GENIUS Act and CLARITY Act.
The Democrats said it was “deeply dangerous” the bills didn’t explicitly apply conflict of interest standards to the president and vice president of the United States.
Then, most of them voted for both bills.
In a letter dated Thursday, Rep. Eugene Vindman (D-Va.) told the leadership of the House Financial Services and Agriculture panels that lawmakers would be “remiss not to raise a serious concern with the language in the CLARITY and GENIUS Acts.”
