STRESA, Italy — The White House is juggling a lot of names at the moment as it races to replace FDIC Chair Martin Gruenberg.
But the list of candidates is winnowing, and the vetting process is picking up speed. We’re moving beyond lobbyist speculation and getting a better sense of who the White House is actually being urged to consider by folks on and off Capitol Hill.
Like we’ve said all week, finding a candidate qualified to lead the FDIC was always going to be tough, and it’s been getting tougher in recent days.
