House Republicans drop stablecoin draft

Republicans on the House Financial Services Committee released a new discussion draft for regulating stablecoins as legislative conversations pick up in the 119th Congress.

The draft, released late today, is being led by Chair French Hill (R-Ark.) and Rep. Bryan Steil (R-Wis.). Read the 47-page bill text here, named the STABLE Act of 2025.
