House GOP only getting SALTier

Blue-state House Republicans and House GOP tax writers are locked in a game of political chicken, and no one’s blinking.

Just one week before the Ways and Means Committee is planning to mark up its tax bill, the impasse over SALT is getting worse.

SALT Caucus Co-Chairs Young Kim (R-Calif.) and Andrew Garbarino (R-N.Y.) were at the House Ways and Means Committee’s weekly lunch this afternoon. Ways and Means Republicans extended an invite to try to make some progress on SALT, but things only seemed to go backward with the blue-state lawmakers.
