Republicans shed no tears about a Democrat-free SEC

Congressional Democrats are grappling with the possibility that only Republicans will sit on the Securities and Exchange Commission’s five-member panel in 2025.

As for Republicans? They’re not exactly mourning the potential demise of the SEC’s bipartisan leadership. Few GOP senators pushed back when we asked about the possibility of vacant Democratic slots on the SEC last week.
