SALT Republicans aim for united stand

The blue-state Republicans who are pushing for the most relief from the $10,000 cap on deducting state and local taxes are working to present a united front to make their strongest stand in reconciliation negotiations.

“There’s five of us – myself, Young Kim, Mike Lawler, Tom Kean and Andrew Garbarino – who are the SALTiest of our group, and we’re committed to working with each other to ensure that we get what’s important to us,” Rep. Nick LaLota (R-N.Y.) told us. He added that the group “made a commitment to each other that we stick together.”
