House members are settling into a 10-day stretch back home before returning to Washington and voting on the GOP’s budget resolution.
And Democrats and allied groups are planning to pounce – using the time to ratchet up the heat on vulnerable House Republicans over the big spending cuts called for in the GOP budget blueprint.
It’s a critical stretch for Republicans’ reconciliation plans. The budget resolution cleared the House Budget Committee late Thursday night, but now members have a week and a half to think on it. So it’s a big opportunity for Democrats to go on the offensive.
