The Senate is gearing up to pass the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act as soon as Thursday afternoon. Senate Banking Committee Chair Tim Scott (R-S.C.) is ready for this multi-year push to be over, whether or not the House is.
Last week, House Financial Services Committee Chair French Hill (R-Ark.) said his chamber wasn’t prepared to embrace the Senate’s housing bill. In an interview Tuesday, Scott said he wasn’t interested in a conference process to reconcile the House and Senate’s approach to housing development.
“I don’t know where the reservation comes from,” Scott said.
