Trump tariff pause brings GOP relief, but uncertainty remains

Senate Republicans cheered President Donald Trump’s decision Wednesday to pause his reciprocal tariff regime for 90 days, saying it’ll bring much-needed relief to financial markets.

But GOP senators who have expressed public concerns about Trump’s strategy said the pause, which applies to countries that haven’t retaliated, does nothing to resolve the uncertainty about Trump’s endgame.
