The House Ethics Committee will decide what punishment is appropriate for Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick (D-Fla.) during an April 21 public hearing, the panel announced on Friday.
Late last month, a special House Ethics Committee subcommittee found that Cherfilus-McCormick was guilty of more than 26 ethics violations following a marathon “trial.” Cherfilus-McCormick attended the session but didn’t speak in her own defense.
