Brand-new House Foreign Affairs Committee Chair Brian Mast (R-Fla.) announced today that he was invoking his authority as the panel’s chair to block hundreds of millions of dollars worth of State Department spending initiatives as the Biden administration comes to an end. One GOP source said Biden officials “are just shoveling money out the door.”
