House Republican leadership will continue its crusade against proxy voting for new parents next week when they plan to try to block Rep. Anna Paulina Luna’s (R-Fla.) resolution for a second time.

Luna won a high-stakes faceoff against Speaker Mike Johnson Tuesday when she and eight other House Republicans killed a rule that would’ve canceled a discharge petition allowing proxy voting. The Luna-authored discharge petition reached 218 votes on March 11.
