Lawler may offer a motion to expel Gaetz from GOP

News: New York GOP Rep. Mike Lawler said he’s considering offering a motion to expel Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) from the House Republican Conference.

In an interview Wednesday afternoon, Lawler said Gaetz’s effort to remove Kevin McCarthy from the speakership was “the single most destructive thing I've ever seen in politics. Certainly, in recent memory. He literally burned the House down.”
