With House Appropriations Committee markups underway, there have already been a few surprises.
For one, we have some bipartisanship. House appropriators came together to unanimously approve the FY2027 MilCon-VA bill, which is a big accomplishment so early in the funding season. Appropriators also agreed to push back on the Trump administration, both in text and in their remarks during the markup.
