Blanche faces Senate skeptics

Senate Majority Leader John Thune said Thursday he’s unsure whether Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche could win Senate confirmation for the job.

President Donald Trump intends to formally nominate Blanche for the position. But it’s unclear whether the president’s one-time personal attorney could get through the Senate Judiciary Committee or gain at least 50 votes on the floor.
