HENDERSON, Nev. — Few Republican senators have gotten to know the party’s battleground Senate candidates better than the “three Johns.”
Senate Minority Whip John Thune and Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) have developed close relationships with the candidates, raising money and attending campaign events as part of their bids to succeed Mitch McConnell as GOP leader.
