Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chair Bob Menendez (D-N.J.) was indicted on Friday, as federal prosecutors alleged that the veteran lawmaker accepted “hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes” to help three businessmen and to benefit the Egyptian government.
This is the second time Menendez has been indicted on federal corruption charges including bribery, making the case even more high-profile – if that’s possible.
