Sen. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.) was hit with even more federal criminal charges on Thursday.
In a newly unsealed superseding indictment, Menendez is accused of “willfully and knowingly” acting as an unregistered foreign agent for the government of Egypt. That’s on top of bribery and corruption charges uncovered against the former Senate Foreign Relations Committee chair last month.
