President-elect Donald Trump’s Cabinet nominees will be on Capitol Hill this week for meetings with senators as they look to lock up support from Republicans first.
Pete Hegseth, Trump’s pick to lead the Department of Defense, will meet with Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.) this afternoon. Over the Thanksgiving recess, news outlets published numerous damaging stories about Hegseth’s past, including an email from his mother stating that he had “routinely mistreated women for years and displayed a lack of character.”
