Federal Communications Commission Chair Brendan Carr has lots to say about the Democratic accusations he’s meddling with free speech protections. The GOP criticism? Not so much.
When we asked Carr today about Republicans who criticized him for his comments on Jimmy Kimmel’s show, Carr pointed the finger at Democrats, who he said “misrepresented the statement in the context of what was said.”
So did GOP Sens. Ted Cruz (Texas), Rand Paul (Ky.) and Mitch McConnell (Ky.) also take Carr’s words out of context?
“I’ve got no comment on that,” Carr said during a news conference at FCC headquarters.
