Democratic TikTok fans push Biden on the ban

Democratic lawmakers who are fans of TikTok are pushing the Biden White House to extend a Jan. 19 deadline that would shut down the Chinese-owned app unless it’s sold to an American company.

The calls come as President-elect Donald Trump, who is set to take office the following day, has pledged to undo the ban quickly and as TikTok users are raising a stink about the platform being killed.
