Rep. Lori Trahan (Mass.) is the latest Democrat working with Rep. Jay Obernolte (R-Calif.) on a bill that would regulate artificial intelligence.
Trahan on Thursday acknowledged differences on how far to go in preempting state AI rules, the issue that has so far kept Obernolte’s marquee effort from being bipartisan. But Trahan said she was optimistic about striking an agreement, potentially within days.
