President Donald Trump said Monday he’ll sign a “ONE RULE Executive Order this week” that would seek to block state regulation of artificial intelligence.
The United States won’t continue “beating” countries on AI as long as there’s a patchwork of 50 state laws regulating the technology, Trump said in a Truth Social post.
The order would insert the White House into a policy debate that’s been consuming Congress and would likely tee up lawsuits from states regulating AI.
