Trump rules out Blackwells, China hawks exhale

China hawks scored a rare win after President Donald Trump momentarily dropped the idea of allowing Nvidia to sell some of its most advanced artificial intelligence chips to China.

Trump told reporters on Air Force One this morning that he didn’t talk about exporting Nvidia’s Blackwell chips to China in his conversation with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
