Welcome to June, Congress. You’ve got work to do before the July 4th recess.
There are a lot of outstanding pieces of economic policy to knock out before the August recess — which we view as the unofficial, but pretty official, end of legislating for the 119th Congress.
We’re at the point of the year where dealmaking is the thing. For a landmark effort to ease the construction of American housing, we’re (still) looking for a final bicameral agreement. And for crypto’s market structure overhaul, Senate Republicans are hunting for Democrats to back a major intervention in the shape of the financial system.
