Johnson huddles with Trump on the fund

Speaker Mike Johnson met President Donald Trump Monday morning at the White House about the “anti-weaponization fund,” as GOP congressional leaders and administration officials try to find a way to pass funding for ICE and CBP.

Johnson has been relatively circumspect on what he thinks of the $1.776-billion fund to compensate Trump allies who claim they were targeted by the federal government. Johnson said last month that he would “process whatever the Senate sends me.”
