FEMA chief dumped, Patel walks back criticism of FBI cuts

Day three of the FY2026 appropriations season has been something.

Cameron Hamilton, FEMA’s acting administrator, was fired this morning after criticizing the White House’s plan to get rid of her agency on Wednesday, according to multiple news reports. FEMA later confirmed this.
