Trump calls Bezos amid Amazon tariff spat

Amazon is under fire from President Donald Trump following a Punchbowl News scoop this morning about the company adding tariff pricing to its site.

Trump called Amazon founder and board executive chair Jeff Bezos to complain this morning, CNN reported.

And White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt took a shot at Amazon today following our report that the e-commerce giant was planning to showcase how much tariffs were contributing to the price of goods sold on their platform.

“This is a hostile and political act by Amazon,” Leavitt declared.
