President Donald Trump will meet at 3 p.m. with the House Freedom Caucus and is expected to deliver the following message: Stop playing around and vote yes today.
Speaker Mike Johnson, House Majority Leader Steve Scalise and House Majority Whip Tom Emmer will also join the White House meeting.
Johnson has an aggressive goal: He wants the House to pass the “One Big, Beautiful Bill” today. The House Freedom Caucus is standing in his way.
The White House issued a “Statement of Administration Policy” that warned failure to vote for the package “would be the ultimate betrayal.” So we know what Trump’s message to the HFC will be.
