Schatz leads two-state solution messaging effort

Sen. Brian Schatz (D-Hawaii) wants to send a message to both Israelis and Palestinians that the Senate still backs a two-state solution. Schatz is introducing an amendment to the national security supplemental — with 49 total backers — that would affirm separate states for Israel and Palestine remain U.S. policy.
