First Helene, now Milton upend election season

Hurricane Milton is now a very dangerous Category 5 storm that will hit central Florida – particularly the Tampa area – later this week.

The National Hurricane Center has said that “maximum sustained winds have increased to 160 mph.” The National Weather Service said that if the storm “stays on the current track, it will be the worst storm to impact the Tampa area in over 100 years.”
