Finance Republicans to meet with Trump on tax

First, a scoop: Republican members of the Senate Finance Committee will head to the White House tomorrow to meet with President Donald Trump.

The committee includes some heavy hitters: Senate Majority Leader John Thune, Senate Majority Whip John Barrasso and, of course, Chair Mike Crapo (R-Idaho).

The House and Senate are quite far apart on reconciliation, and that’s creating tension between the chambers, as we reported in AM. So, these kinds of conversations are aimed at moving the ball forward.
