Coalition urges IRS to expand Direct File

First in Punchbowl News: More than 250 organizations are calling on the IRS to permanently extend and expand its Direct File program.

The Coalition for Free and Fair Filing, a group led by progressive organizations that back a government-run free tax filing system, laid out the specifics of how this should be done in a new letter to the IRS and Treasury Department. Read it here.
