House GOP huddles on reconciliation

House Republicans huddled Tuesday for a briefing on reconciliation, the tool they’ll look to use to pass tax and budget policy next year if they have control of Congress and the White House.

House Majority Whip Tom Emmer hosted the member briefing. Former Ways and Means Committee Chair Kevin Brady (R-Texas), current Chair Jason Smith (R-Mo.) and House Budget Committee Chair Jodey Arrington (R-Texas) were involved in leading the discussion, according to two people familiar with the meeting.
