GOP squirms over Argentina beef imports

Speaker Mike Johnson dodged questions this morning about the Trump administration’s financial bailout of Argentina and plan to import more beef from the South American ally — two moves that have put Republicans in a tough political spot.

American ranchers — a key constituency for Republicans — are up in arms over the decision to allow more low-tariff beef products to enter the United States.
