HFC buckles on topline spending number

Well, that changed fast.

House Freedom Caucus Chair Scott Perry (R-Pa.) said today he’s ok with a topline spending number of $1.59 trillion for FY2024, even after the far-right group spent months demanding steep spending cuts that ultimately led to former Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s ouster.
