Senate Dems huddle to strategize on ‘tax armageddon’

Senate Finance Committee Democrats huddled this morning for their first conversation on the 2025 tax debate when much of the Trump tax cuts expire.

Senate Democrats talked about each of their 2025 tax priorities during the meeting, according to two people familiar with the conversation. Senators also discussed the importance of broadening the debate beyond the expiring Trump tax cuts so Democrats’ priorities are in the mix too, according to a person in the room.
