Social Security bill gets 218 signatures to force vote

Reps. Garret Graves (R-La.) and Abigail Spanberger (D-Va.) secured the 218 signatures today to force a vote teeing up the Social Security Fairness Act.

Discharge petitions rarely work. They challenge leadership by forcing action on the House floor. But this is the second time a GOP-led push has worked this year.
