The House Financial Services Committee is pushing ahead with its markup of stablecoin legislation as the chamber throws in the towel on floor votes for the rest of the week.
Lawmakers and staff have been racing to prepare for the event all week. Democrats are expected to deploy an onslaught of amendments. Chair French Hill (R-Ark.) told us Tuesday afternoon Republicans may even have their own.
“I’m sure we’ll have Democratic and Republican amendments that people are considering. They may do them or not do them,” Hill said.
