The Senate’s top backers of the Community Development Financial Institution Fund criticized the Trump administration’s attempt to abolish the agency today and said they’d work to reverse the decision.
Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.) railed against the Trump administration this afternoon, calling the move illegal and “dumb.” And Sen. Mike Crapo (R-Idaho) told us he was “discouraged.” We scooped the news on Friday that every staff member at the CDFI Fund had received a RIF notice.
