Maxine Waters says Dems will still ‘fight’ for policy from minority

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) said House Democrats on the Financial Services Committee would continue to “fight” for legislation in the 119th Congress, even as a House flip stayed out of reach for the party.

Waters told us she was “not discouraging my people from coming up with legislation on some of the issues that we continuously work on.” The California Democrat also said crypto reform would remain a top focus for her in 2025.
