The Wyden-Smith tax bill was passed over once again this week for floor time. Supporters had hoped to at least get a "show" vote, but not even that has materialized.
The legislation has languished in the Senate for months without the votes to pass, and those circumstances aren’t shifting. So we caught up with Senate Finance Committee Chair Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) to get his takeaways for next year’s bigger tax fight considering how this bill has gone.
