Jeffries calls GOP budget ‘a toxic scheme’

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries is blasting the House Republican budget adopted by his colleagues today, calling it a “disgrace” and “a toxic scheme.”

At his weekly news conference, Jeffries warned the budget will lead to “the most extreme cuts” to health care, SNAP and other social safety net programs. The compromise budget resolution, which narrowly passed the House today, will be the first step to unlocking President Donald Trump’s agenda.
