House passes CR, fight shifts to Senate

The House passed a GOP-drafted government-funding resolution to avert a government shutdown at midnight Friday, but there’s still some Senate drama to play out.

The House vote was 217-213. Only Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) opposed the measure. Just one Democrat crossed the aisle to vote for the legislation – Rep. Jared Golden of Maine.
