Pentagon abortion policy is not subject to congressional review

The Pentagon’s abortion travel policy is not subject to a congressional vote to quickly overturn it, the Government Accountability Office said Tuesday.

In a memo obtained by Punchbowl News, the watchdog determined that the policy, which has been the subject of Sen. Tommy Tuberville’s (R-Ala.) unprecedented blockade of military promotions, falls under the Congressional Review Act’s “exception for rules relating to agency management or personnel.”
